French Revolution-Encyclopedia

The Encyclopedia article entitled "The French Revolution" is subdivided into five main sections with a brief introductory summary and additional information listed at the end. Beginning with the year 1787, the article begins by explaining the first aristocratic revolt that occurred in France and the key people who were involved in it. Many of these names are highlighted and lead to another link where more information can be gathered on the life and history of the person mentioned. The second section is entitled events of 1789 and includes the most significant events that occurred in France during that year, including the creation of the National Assembly and the storming of the Bastille. There are also visuals that have been included next to the text that can be enlarged to include the title and date of the visual. The third and fourth sections both focus primarily on the political components of the revolution and the involvement of the U.S. in the conflict. At the end of the articles, a list of additional topics that might be of interest is also listed for the reader, allowing them to find more information on France and its history after they have finished the article.
