Minutes from the October 2, 2006 Outing Club Meeting~
This coming Friday, October 6, 2006, there will be a trip to the Climbnasium. If you are interested in joining the group please get in touch with Duncan. NOTE: This trip is full as of Wednesday, 10/4. We will likely run more on Fridays or perhaps midweek during the semester.
This weekend (October 7) Rachel Sanders and Duncan Lennon are co-leading a backpacking trip on the AT. The group will be leaving from the Kline Center at 9:30 Saturday morning and are expected to return to campus around 3 or 4 Sunday afternoon. For more information or if you are signed up and can no longer attend, please get in touch with either Rachel or Duncan as soon as possible!
You can now access waivers, the gear policy, trip report outlines and the upcoming trip schedules on the outing club wiki site (this one!)
A reminder, if you are interested in going on the Fall Pause trip to Red River Gorge in KY, you MUST get in contact with Kerry Browne immediately. At the gorge their will be opportunities to camp, hike, climb, cave, kayak, and backpack. Details for the trip will be discussed at next weeks meeting, if you want to go on the trip you must attend the meeting(if you have a conflict with the meeting time, please get in touch with Kerry). Also if you signed up to go on the trip but have found out that you cannot go, please get in touch with Kerry and let him know.
In the spirit of the season, the outing club will be setting up a trip to go to a corn maze, sometime after Fall Pause. The club went last year and had an awesome time, so you should definitly go. If you are interested in going please attend the next meeting to sign up.
If you have any trip ideas or want to lead a trip, suggestions are always welcome!
