7/9/2005 Speak Truth to Power - Hundreds of environmental justice, human rights and peace activists, artists, and scholars gathered in Washington DC to pay tribute to "community hero" Damu Smith.[7]
11/9/2004 APHA Annual Conference'-Promoting community/public health partnerships[7]
9/18/2004 Green Festival in Washington, DC[7]
6/11/2004 Margie Richard honored in New Orleans, LA for winning the 2004 Goldman Prize. She was the first African American woman to win the award[7]
