The Sisterhoold has approximatly 20 members active. Ms. Lawerence, an active member of the Sisterhood rates the group to be a 3 (on a 1 to 5 scale, 5 being the most) when it comes to effectiveness. However, Alexander describes the organization as "women enjoying the company of women" and as a means of "promoting but also being a true enforcer of diversity. The sisterhood faces many financial problems as they are not funded by senate because of the all female component.  They find it hard to publicize their events and frequently find that the Dickinson College students, as a whole, are not particularly receptive to their organization.

Mission Statement

The Sisterhood is an organization created to unite women of all races, backgrounds, and beliefs. Through our organization we enrich our lives and the community that surrounds us. 1
