: The Red River Gorge is known for its beautiful scenery, steep cliffs, and the largest collection of natural stone arches in the eastern United States. There are over many miles of hiking trails in addition to over 3000 rock climbs in the Red River Gorge area. If there is sufficient interest, some participants may take a wild cave tour of Mammoth Cave (the longest cave system in the world). In order to do this cave tour, participants will have to book in advance with the national park service. Planning for this trip will begin at the September 18, Outing Club meeting, and participants must come to the two meeting immediately prior to this trip in order to attend.
