Elizabeth Cady Stanton was born in 1815 and is one of the most well known leaders of the First Wave of Feminism in the late 19th Century. She is famous for being one of the primary organizers of the Seneca Falls Convention along with Lucretia Mott, where she signed the Declaration of Sentiments, saying men and women are created equal. Other beliefs of Stanton include; anti-slavery, anti-alcohol, and anti-abortion. Paired up with Susan B. Anthony they created the National Woman's Suffrage Association, and even though neither Anthony or Stanton was alive to see the 19th Amendment passed, their work was well worth it.
