Current progresses in Environmental Justice at Colleges and Universities are linked to the achievement of Long-Term Sustainability. Students at colleges and universities nationwide are participating in a larger scale movement of Local Community-Based Commitments to the Kyoto Protocol.
This movement comes not only as a step forward to achieve a more sustainable way of living as a society, but also as a channel of expression that shows that US Citizens are concerned about Sustainability. The achievement of massiveness of this movement would have the potential to pressure the current Bush Administration and the Congress not only to commit to the Kyoto Protocol, but also to make Sustainability a PRIORITY
