HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF

Hurricane Katrina is the worst natural disaster ever to hit the United States. Not only did it claim over a thousand lives, but it had a huge environmental impact on the Gulf Coast. NBEJN is backed a number of organizations which are providing relief to the many people displaced by the disaster. The situation is bringing to light many issues of class and race that NBEJN has promoted since its creation in 1999.
