Michael Colangelo

File sharing has largely changed the state of the music industry. Due to the belief that it erodes music sales, the RIAA has employed an aggressive legal campaign against unauthorized file sharing networks. At the same time, legal online stores such as iTunes have begun to prosper. This paper attempts to measure the opportunities presented by digital music in hopes of revealing the proper course of action to be taken by the RIAA.
