<bold>Eugenics</bold> is 'the proposed improvement of the human species by encouraging or permitting reproduction of only those people with genetic characteristics judged desirable. It has been regarded with disfavor since the Nazi period.' (Encarta on-line Dictionary) However, with recent breakthroughs in genetics and molecular biology, and the subsequent advancements in biotechnolgy, the issue of eugenics may come to arise once again, only this time, in a more subtle, seductive, form.
