American Heritage Dictionary Definition

"The America Heritage New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy" presents a very compacted “definition” of the French Revolution. The singular long paragraph gives a general description of the stand-out events of the Revolution. One sentence is used to provide background information, and then the main highlights of the Revolution are mentioned. While not a particularly useful source for research, it is more appropriate as a reference for someone inquiring as to the basic gist of the French Revolution.
