This site contains a text of the Life of Martin, Bishop of Tours (AD 316-397), written by Sulpicius Severus (c. AD 363 - c. 425), a native of Aquitania and an acquaintance of Martin. It is intended for students of Latin. They are assumed to be learning to translate themselves, thus no translation is given. The Latin text used here is from The Latin Library, with alterations based on the editions of Halm and Fontaine. The notes were written by Christopher Francese.
