Since its inception, the Carlisle branch of the NAACP has:

1. Worked with Carlisle area and Cumberland Valley Districts in the Development of racial equality. 2. Assisted in over 100 cases with various individuals and companies, to remove all barriers of racial discrimination through the democratic process 3. Held an honoree banquet for those citizens "Who Made A Difference" in our community. 4. Wrote articles to address racism in the community by monitoring radio, newspaper etc. 5. Assisted with Voter Registration, in accordance with Women League of Voters and the Democratic Committee. 6. Sit on the Cumberland Valley Drug and Alcohol Prevention Committee. 7. Conducted Veterans Training at the State Capital 8. Monitor Economic Development trends 9. Assisted the PA Human Relations Council with the Spirit Program 10. Continued coordination with the Federal Mediation Program and the Justice Department to change community environment. 11. Continued coordination with the Religious community in encouraging both Minority and Majority Churches to establish 1 Ministerium meeting for all its citizens. 12. Member of the Community Ministerium 13. Educational training with local ministers to enhance communication. 14. Attend and monitor various organization forums 15 Assisted in conducting 2 Community Town Hall Meeting in 2005. 16. Coordinated session with the State LT GOV-Katherine Baker-Knoll with Local Democratic Committee. 17. Monitored and assisted in the Shippensburg schools 18. Continue to encourage the hiring of Minority/competent Candidates to our school districts. 19. Work closely with the administration of the school district addressing concerns of sensitivity of minority and majority youth encouraging the development of The Carlisle Way 20. Fostered a positive work relationship with Superintendent of Carlisle and Cumberland Valley School District, and Police Chief.
