  • Their mission statement is based on the belief that all people have the opportunity to fully participate in the community, regardless of abilities or disabilities. It is one of the largest health-related charities in America.
  • UCP was founded in 1953, and is a non-profit agency, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. UCP has facilities in:
    • Cumberland
      • Dauphin
        • Perry
          • Northumberland Counties
  • They provide service for individuals in:
    • Norhtern York
      • Juniata
        • Centre
          • Mifflin
            • Montour
              • Union
                • Snyder Counties
  • 90% of the funding for UCP comes from the UNited ways of the Capital Region and Carlisle and Cumberland County. 10% is from the supporters of the community.
  • Most of the services they offer are provided at no cost to the families.
