Six club members (Emma, Sarah, Katie, Mandie, Matt, and Duncan) left school on a rainy Friday afternoon and drove to Scott Farm northeast of Carlisle. Amid a cold and icy deluge, we made our way four miles up the trail (read: stream bed) to the dry shelter. After drying off and warming up, we made copious quantities of Ramen and shivered long into the night.
In the morning, we found that yesterday's rain was today's ice. After a slippery descent, we made it out safely, even fording the river that we had been forced to bypass the day before. It was a good trip.
