Alpha Phi Omega
Mission Statement
The purpose of Alpha Phi Omega is to assemble college students in a national service fraternity in the fellowship of principles derived from the Scout Oath and Law of the Boy Scouts of America: to develop leadership, to promote friendship, provide service to humanity, and to further freedom that is our national, educational and intellectual heritage. Events
APO works regularly with Salvation Army, Project Share, Hope Station, Safe Harbor, Homework Club, the Carlisle Theatre, and many other worthwhile charities. We are also helping Dickinson's Habitat for Humanity raise money for the House that Dickinson Built. Each semester brings with it unique and worthwhile service activities. |
Effectiveness
This past year, on a scale from 1 to 5, 5 being the best, APO is about a 4.9, because there is always room for improvement. This semester APO has between 100 and 120 active members. Each member must perform at least 15 hours of community service per semester, but many exceed this small requirement
