Anti- Racism Conclusion
After careful and in depth research on anti -racism movements all over the world, it is clear to see how these movements have impacted the lives of opressed people all over the world. The Soweto Uprisings in South Africa in 1976 changed the will and the motiovation of all South African people so that tragedies such as hate crimes and discrimantion based on race could never happen again. The signifance of such events as that of 1976 is so that future generations can learn about the power of motivation and what can be achieved when people unite and come together in order to create change. Additionally, another important lesson that can be learnt from 1976 is the realization that ordinary young people can make a difference in society. It is true that what happened in 1976 will remain a dark piece of South African history that can never be erased, but it is also a fact that it helped change the future of South Africa forever. The Black Power Movement strived long and hard to work and advocate for the rights and freedom of African - American people in the United States. Through riots, struggles, and violence the Black Power Movement was very successful in establishing pride and useful programs amongst African-Americans and their communities. African-Americans were viewed differently by themselves as well as whites and gained access to the things they had been previously denied.
