Linking Images to Pages

Link Image

  1. Upload image to the wiki
  2. On your article page, click Edit
  3. Click at the point in your article where you want the image to be placed.
  4. Type in the name of your image file.
  5. Highlight the text of the image file name, and click on the Embed Image icon in the toolbar at the top.
    • This places the double brackets around the image name
  6. Enter your summary comment, and click Save
    • You'll see the image in line with the part of the article where you added its link.


Add Formatting to the Image

  1. On your article page, click Edit
  2. Enter the formatting commands inside the brackets of the image link, with "pipe characters" between them.
    • The example shown in the screencast used this syntax to formatting the image aligned to the right, adding a frame and a caption was this: [[File:Blog_growth_sized.jpg|right|frame|175 px|Growth in blogs through July 2006]]




Add an image to a Wiki Page:

To place the graphic or media file in the appropriate location on the Wiki page where it applies use the following markup language:

[[File:file_name.jpg|left|thumb|300px|none|Title]]

To add another type of media file use the following markup language:

[[media:filename.extension|Title]]
